A Place to Slow Down
When Daisy first discovered the condo tucked within Austin’s historic Miriam building, she was immediately drawn to the feeling of it. The original floors, quiet warmth, and Clarksville location offered something increasingly rare in Austin — a sense of calm woven into the heart of the city.
In her professional life, much of Daisy’s life is spent caring for others in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. La Palomita became an opportunity to create the opposite: a soft landing designed for rest, focus, and ease. Inspired by modern minimalism and subtle Spanish influence, the space was thoughtfully curated to feel warm, grounded, and quietly elevated without losing its residential charm.
Today, La Palomita welcomes couples and longer-stay travelers looking to experience Austin in a more intentional way — through neighborhood walks, slow mornings, meaningful gatherings, and spaces that feel restorative rather than overstimulating. More than a short-term rental, it was created to help guests settle in, slow down, and feel at home from the moment they arrive.
